Services available from the Practice

We provide medical care for all our patients when they are unwell.  In addition to this we provide the following services:

• Contraceptive Services

• Cervical Smears

We also participate in the following local initiatives:

• Methadone substitution programme for patients with drug abuse problems

• Flu immunisation programme for the elderly and at risk

• Regular monitoring by blood and urine tests for patients on a wide range of medications for arthritis and bowel problems

• Annual reviews for patients with chronic disease

• Annual reviews for patients who are carers

• More specialised Sexual and Reproductive Health Services

• Alcohol Misuse

Non NHS Services

Some services provided fall outside the scope of the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Insurance claim forms

• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad

• Private sick notes

• Vaccination certificates

Our reception staff will be happy to advise you about appointment availability and applicable charges.
