Patients aged 6 months and older suffering from the following conditions are considered to be at risk and should receive a flu and pneumococcal immunisation:
Respiratory Disease
COPD
Asthma requiring continued use of preventer inhaler
Other chronic lung conditions
Children admitted for lower respiratory tract infection
Heart Disease
Congenital heart disease
Ischaemic heart disease
Heart failure
Kidney Disease
Liver Disease
Hepatitis
Cirrhosis
Biliary atresia
Neurological Disease
Diabetes
Immunosuppression
Immunosuppression due to disease or treatment
Patients undergoing chemotherapy
Patients on high dose steroids
Asplenia
HIV
Pregnant Women
Unpaid Carers or Young Carers
If you, without payment provide help and support for a child, partner, friend, relative or neighbour you are entitled to be a flu and pneumococcal immunisations.
